HERE ARE SOME VINTAGE SUPERMAN CARTOONS CARTOONS TO ENJOY AT YOUR LEISURE.
We will be listing different Superman Cartoons over time. Please return often to see one of his many cartoon adventures from an era of when cartoons were fun.
The Fleischer Superman cartoons were justly renowned for their high quality of animation. The stories were rather simple: Bad guy threatens evil (usually with Lois Lane in danger) and Superman saves the day. This is nothing different, but, as usual, the execution is first-rate.

SUPERMAN in...
SECRET AGENT

This is the first cartoon series based on Superman, created by Dave and Max Fleischer, who also created most of the great Popeye cartoons!

In this 1943 cartoon a beautiful spy has to deliver some secret papers, with the names of all the Nazi spies to Washington. Oh - but that Nazi gang has other plans for the young lass. Looks like a job for Superman!

SUPERMAN in...
JAPOTEURS

This is the first cartoon series based on Superman, created by Dave and Max Fleischer, who also created most of the great Popeye cartoons!

Being that this was created in the U.S during the second world war, it's not surprising that a Japanese fellow would be cast as a bad guy. This was the enemy of democracy and freedom and that is Supe's main gig. I thought the portrayal of the enemy agent was quite subdued and done with the proper respect for such a hated and dreaded foe. They did after all let him hijack the plane and it took a Super-Man to foil his plans! The stylized artwork and the detail of these old cartoons is great (note the windows of the elevator and the sheet metal of the aircraft).

Superman in... THE MECHANICAL MONSTERS
SUPERMAN created by Dave and Max Fleischer, who also created most of the great Popeye cartoons! Metropolis is plagued by a rash of robberies involving huge mechanical monsters. Lois gets caught in a trap and Superman comes to the rescue! And what's most astonishing is the vivid colors and wild animation. Very saturated, beautiful and over the top!
