A White Girl Rules The Jungle...Her strength Of Power was NABONGA!

Ray Gorman (Buster Crabbe) travels to Africa track down money embezzeled from his fathers company. He finds the money guarded by a beautiful girl and her Gorilla protector.

In an effort to clear the name of his deceased father, young Ray Gorman travels to darkest Africa to try to track down the money embezzled from his father's bank years earlier. After a long trek through the jungle Gorman finds the money in the care of beautiful 'white witch' Doreen, daughter of the now long-dead embezzler. Gorman finds his goal difficult to accomplish as not only does Doreen, guarded by a huge, ferocious gorilla, not want to give up the money, but greedy guide Carl Hurst has followed Gorman's trail, intent on getting the money himself by any means necessary.

Buster Crabbe was an olympic swimming champion. He was also the only actor to play all three pulp fiction heroes of the 1930s - Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers and Tarzan. Nabonga was Julie London's first film, but many of you may recognize her from her later roll as Nurse Dixie McCall from the 70's television show Emergency! She also had a prolific singing career and to date, over forty of her albums have been released. As a little side note, Julie was born in Santa Rosa, California, which is only about ten minutes away from my hometown of Sebastopol, California.
